Fees and Donations

The playgroup receives funding from the Department of Education under the Pre-School Education Expansion Programme (PEEP). This funding pays the fees of children eligible for a funded place, covers staff salaries and pays the costs associated with the requirements of the PEEP, namely the support of an Early Years Specialist and additional planning time for staff to prepare delivery of the Early Years curriculum.

The playgroup committee regularly organise fundraising events to raise money to cover running costs, Early Years membership, insurance, purchase of new play materials and equipment. Unfortunately in the current climate fundraising is becoming more difficult, we therefore ask parents to consider making the following voluntary donations.

Morning session

These are fully funded therefore morning sessions are free of charge. However, parents will receive written notification three times per year suggesting voluntary donations:

  • September – £25
  • January – £25
  • April – £25

Afternoon session

Afternoon fees are £11.50 per session, voluntary donations are not suggested.

Payment Terms

Fees can either be paid on a monthly or on a term basis. Monthly fees are to be paid by the 15th of each month but full balance must be settled before the end of current school term.
