Playgroup Fees & Fund

As you will be aware the playgroup now receives funding from the Department of Education under the Pre-School Education Expansion Programme (PEEP). This funding pays the fees of children eligible for a funded place, covers staff salaries and pays the costs associated with the requirements of the PEEP, namely the support of an Early Years Specialist and additional planning time for staff to prepare delivery of the Early Years curriculum.

Additionally, the playgroup committee regularly organise fundraising events to raise money to cover the running costs, NIPPA membership and insurance and purchase of new play materials and equipment. However, there is a shortfall.

The committee have discussed the financial position of the playgroup at length and have come to the conclusion that if we wish the playgroup to continue, the only solution is to continue fundraising and introduce a Playgroup Fund. This would require parents to pay the following costs:

Payment Terms

Fees can either be paid on a monthly or on a term basis. Monthly fees are to be paid by the 15th of each month and term fees are to be paid by the end of the first month of that term.
