The Playgroup is part of the Pre-School Expansion Programme and has some free places on offer. These places are available for the full school year beginning in September. They must be applied for and application forms are available in the Group during the month of January each year.

It is our intention to make our Playgroup accessible to children and families from all sections of the community.

For funded places under the Pre-School Expansion Programme, the following criteria will apply:

  1. Children in their final pre-school year who have one or both parents in receipt of Income Support or income-based Job Seekers Allowance.
  2. Children in their final pre-school year with 4th birthday from 2nd July to 31st August inclusive.
  3. Children in their final pre-school year.

In the event of over-subscription the following sub criteria will apply:

  1. Children who have siblings who have already attended.
  2. Geographical location - preference will be given to children living within a 2½ mile radius.
  3. Children already attending the playgroup.
  4. Age - older children will be given preference.

Referrals from other professionals will be given consideration.

We are inspected regularly by the Education and Training Inspectorate and their findings are available for parents to read.
